Carlota Louro was born in Póvoa de Varzim. She graduated in Medicine in 1983 and has been a professor at the Faculty of Medical Sciences of Universidade Nova de Lisboa, since 1996. She was a researcher at School PH / DHEC, Columbia (USA). She holds a degree in Epidemiology M.S.P.H. In 1991-95 she practiced Epidemiology at ARS Norte. Training in the Specialty of Public Health by ENSP. Clinical Director of SNS24 2006-2018. PhD in HIV-AIDS 2008. She is Assistant Professor. Carlota has worked in the Doctorate in Medicine and Life Sciences and Master programs in Public Health. She is the coordinator (NMS) of the Doctoral Program in Global Public Health since the 3rd edition. Research and publications in areas such as HIV epidemiology, Influenza and Telehealth/ICT. Carlota also collaborates with projects funded by FCT.
