CHRC researchs at the 8th Biosimilar Multistakeholder Event in Brussels
CHRC researchers Julian Perelman and Elsa Mateus will participate in an important European Commission event, the 8th Biosimilar Multistakeholder Event, within the scope of the European Consortium AUGMENTED, that is happening in Brussels, on the next December 5, 2024.
The main goal will be to raise awareness and highlight the potential of biosimilars in improving accessibility to medicines. In this edition, several sessions will be presented within the theme of this event:
- Ensuring biosimilar development and competition in Europe: where are we now?
- Promoting biosimilar uptake: current developments
- AUGMENT: an EU4Health biosimilar capacity-building project
The researcher Elsa Mateus, President of the Board of the Portuguese League Against Rheumatic Diseases, will intervene as keynote speaker at the presentation of the AUGMENT project and will give a Patient keynote speech.
The AUGMENT consortium, joins the Austrian National Public Health Institute, the Polish Agency for HTA and Tariff System, Medical University of Sofia and NOVA University of Lisbon. In this session, it will be provided an introduction to the recently launched EU4Health project. The project aims to encourage biosimilar uptake through a comprehensive multistakeholder approach by generating evidence, enhancing knowledge, and building capacity.
