Master's Degree in Human Ecology in 2004 awarded by the University of Évora. PhD in Sociology in 2014 awarded by the University of Évora. Nursing Specialist since 2014. Child Health Nursing and Pediatrics Specialist at Dr. Ângelo da Fonseca Nursing School - Coimbra in 1997. Professor at the Department of Nursing from the University of Évora (since 2000). It belonged to the Pedagogical Council and to the Scientific Council. She now belongs to the School Assembly. She was Department Director until January 2021.
