Mário JDS Santos

Mário JDS Santos (PhD) is researcher at the Comprehensive Health Research Centre (CHRC), where he supports the implementation of qualitative methodologies in health research across the Centre, through the CHRC's Methods and Data Analysis Office. He specialised in health sociology, qualitative health research, and reproductive health matters. He holds a degree in Nursing (2007), an MSc in Health, Medicine and Society (2012), and PhD in Sociology (2020). He has shared extensively his work, in national and international conferences, and in journal articles and book chapters. Furthermore, he co-coordinates the Laboratory for the Social Studies of Childbirth, in ISCTE, he is the Country Coordinator for the Portuguese branch of the "Babies Born Better" survey, and member of the International Steering Committee of this survey.
