Biography

Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry in 2003, Master in Chemistry in 2005 and PhD in Chemistry in 2010 by FCUP. Lecturer at FCM|NMS-UNL since 2016, in the areas of Nutrition and Metabolism, Food Chemistry and Bromatology. Main areas of interest are polyphenols and their relationship to health, in particular the bilateral effect between polyphenols and microbiota, the impact on obesity and neuroinflammation. She is the author of more than 70 publications, 16 book chapters and more than 140 conference papers. She has been / is involved in more than 20 research projects with review activity in the field of nutrition and food chemistry.
