Aramid Gomes
Biography
Aramid Gomes began his career in nursing in 1998, completing her Bachelor's degree in 2001 and then Licentiate in 2002. His professional career began at the Portalegre Health Center, and he later joined the Santo António General Hospital, where he worked in the Medicine 2B, Cardiology and Medical Intermediate Unit services. He currently works in the Intensive Care Medicine Department at the Centro Hospitalar Universitário de Santo António. In 2019, he completed the Postgraduate Specialization Course in Mental Health and Psychiatric Nursing at the Escola Superior de Enfermagem do Porto. In 2021, he completed his Master's Degree in Critical Care Nursing at the Nursing School of the University of Minho, in 2022 he obtained the title of Specialist in Higher Education in the area of Nursing and has the added competence Advanced in Clinical Supervision. He has been a guest lecturer at the Escola Superior de Saúde Santa Maria since 2021, where he teaches Internship II in mental and psychiatric health and Nursing VI in mental and psychiatric health. In 2022, he was a collaborating member of the Health Sciences Research Unit - ESE-UMinho. He is also a member of the Research and Projects Unit of the Santa Maria School of Health. With publications in indexed journals, papers in e-books, chapters in published books and items of scientific production (posters, free communications, lectures in scientific activities, online resources, etc.), Aramid Gomes is the author and co-author of several scientific papers, as well as a leading professional in the institution where he currently works, and is a member of several committees and associations. His areas of interest include: Nursing, Mental Health, Critical Care, Clinical Supervision, Spirituality, Information Systems and Teletriage.
