Henriqueta Louro

Biography
Maria Henriqueta Louro, is a specialist in Human Genetics and a research scientist in the field of genetic toxicology working in the National Institute of Health Dr Ricardo Jorge (INSA), since 1997. Holds a doctoral degree in Public Health, and has been involved in studies in human biomonitoring and nanotoxicology, with participation in European projects such as Nanogenotox, Nanoreg and HBM4EU, and as responsible investigator in national projects. She is task co-leader in the European Partnership for the Assessment of Risks from Chemicals (PARC) and participates in several OECD projects. In addition, she is a Member the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) Panel on Food Additives and Flavourings, of the EFSA cross-cutting Working Groups on Genotoxicity, on Nanotechnologies and on NAMs and is a genotoxicity expert for the Scientific Committee for Consumer Safety (SCCS) – Working Group on cosmetic ingredients. Recently, she has collaborated with JECFA/WHO and contributed to IARC monographs working group.
