Biography
Katia Augusta Xavier Furtado Furtado. She completed her bachelor’s degree in Nursing in 2001 at the Maria Fernanda Resende Nursing School, and a bachelor’s degree in Nursing in 1994 at the Lisbon Nursing School. She is a Nurse at the North Alentejo Local Health Unit, Coordinating Researcher at the Regional Health Administration of Alentejo IP, Invited Assistant at the University of Évora, Invited Assistant at the University of Minho and Invited Assistant at the Polytechnic Institute of Portalegre. She has published 23 articles in specialized journals, 7 book chapters and 4 books. She has organized 19 events and participated in 217. Oriented/supervised 8 graduation and bachelor conclusion works/theses and received 2 awards/honors. She participates (or participated) as Technical Development in 3 projects, as Researcher in 4 projects and as Principal Investigator in 1 project. She works in the areas of Medical and Health Sciences, with an emphasis on Health Sciences and Nursing.
