Biography
Michel Kranendonk is Principal Investigator and group Leader of the Xenobiotic Metabolism Laboratory at NOVA Medical School, Universidade NOVA de Lisboa. His research focuses on cytochrome P450 enzymes and their reductase, uncovering how genetic variation and structural mechanisms govern drug metabolism and liver disease. He has pioneered in vitro models to study xenobiotic metabolism, drug-induced liver injury, and chronic liver disease, and contributes to international initiatives such as Halt RONIN, PRO-EURO-DILI-NET and the Cytochrome P450 Conferences.
