Biography
Graduated in Medicine from the Faculty of Medicine of the Agostinho Neto University (with recognition and equivalence to a master's degree from the University of Lisbon).
Master's degree in Epidemiology, Biostatistics and Health Research from the National School of Public Health of the New University of Lisbon and specialisation in Epidemiology from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Lisbon.
PhD student in Public Health in the speciality of Epidemiology at the National School of Public Health of the New University of Lisbon, carrying out the following studies:
1. Survival and predictors of mortality in children with HIV in Angola's largest paediatric hospital;
2. Antiretroviral treatment (ART) in pregnant women and its influence on the results observed in the neonatal period - Lucrécia Paim Maternity Hospital - Angola;
3. Experiences of HIV-positive puerperal women, including opportunities to prevent vertical transmission - Luanda.
The main areas of research are: infectious diseases, patient-centred care, health services research and equity, health determinants, needs and interventions.
