Pedro Rodrigues

Biography
Pedro Gonçalo Rodrigues holds a degree in Anatomical Pathology, Cytology and Thanatology (ESTeSL, 2002) and a degree in Biology, specializing in Molecular Biology and Genetics (FCUL, 2014). He also holds a Master’s degree in Medical Microbiology (UNL-ITQB, 2010). He is currently a PhD student in Cellular and Molecular Biology (FCUL–INSA), and his thesis focuses on Lynch syndrome and functional studies of genetic variants of uncertain clinical significance.
He was awarded the professional title of Specialist in Diagnostic and Therapeutic Technologies – Anatomical Pathology, Cytology and Thanatology (IPCB-ESALD, 2016) and his professional career has spanned several fields, including Anatomical Pathology (2002–2015, CHLN-HSM), Human Genetics - primarily in Hereditary Cancer Syndromes (2015–2016 and 2018 to present, INSA DGH-UMO) and Forensic Sciences (2016–2018, LPC-PJ). In addition, he has teaching experience in several institutions, including ESSEM (2009–2013), ESALD (2015–2017) and ESTeSL, where he collaborate as an invited Adjunct Professor since 2015.
