Rui C. Campos
Biography
Rui C. Campos is a psychologist, specialist in clinical and health psychology and in Psychotherapy by the Portuguese Psychologists Board (OPP). He is a Full Professor of Psychology at the School of Social Sciences (Department of Psychology), University of Évora, where he teaches courses of Psychopathology and psychological assessment. He is also an advisor for internships in clinical psychology in the master's degree in Psychology. Rui received his PhD in Psychology from the University of Évora in 2007, having presented a thesis on the depressive personality and obtained the title of habillitation in Clinical Psychology at the University of Lisbon in 2016. He received training in brief psychoanalytic psychotherapy and is a member of the Portuguese Suicidology Society. Rui has carried out research and mainly published articles in international journals indexed in the field of Psychopathology and psychological assessment, particularly related to depressive personality and depression, on the validation of psychological measures and, especially, in the area of Suicidology, namely concerning the validation of risk assessment measures, on the impact of exposure to suicide on the family and on relationship between personality, childhood trauma, psychological pain and suicidal behaviours.
