Sara Miranda

Sara Souto Miranda, is currently an assistant professor at the School of Health of the Setúbal Polytechnic Institute, and an associate editor of BMJ Open Respiratory Research. She finished her degree in physiotherapy from University of Aveiro in 2016, has a masters degree in physiotherapy and a post-graduation course on adult respiratory physiotherapy from the same institution. She finished her double PhD in 2023 in University of Aveiro and Maastricht University. She was involved in 6 funded research projects, published 22 research articles, a book chapter, and more than 50 abstracts in conference proceedings. She is currently a selected member of the Guideline Methodology Network and of two Task Forces of the European Respiratory Society. She has been distinguished by the European Lung Foundation and European Respiratory Society, by Direção Geral de Ensino Superior, the Portuguese Pulmonology Society and by Ciro.
