Sílvia Ramos
Biography
Sílvia Ramos began her professional career in 2003 at the Hospital Center of Vila Nova de Gaia, where she worked in Medical Services 2 and 4. She was invited to join the Intermediate Medical Unit and Stroke Unit, where she served until 2009. In 2004, she joined the Santo António University Hospital, working in Medicine Service A and later in Medicine Service E. She was invited to join the Intermediate Medical Unit, which later merged with the Intensive Care Service, where she worked until 2022. In 2022, she began working in Primary Health Care at the Health Unit of Corvo Island, where she still is. In the professional field, she also performs functions in the area of Clinical Teletriage since 2009 in SNS 24 and since 2020 in Luz 24 to the present. Sílvia Ramos completed her Master’s degree in Nursing for the Person in Critical Situation in 2021, by the Superior School of Nursing of the University of Minho, and the Postgraduate Course of Specialization in Mental Health and Psychiatric Nursing at the Superior School of Nursing of Porto in 2019. She has the Advanced Competence in Clinical Supervision and was Clinical Supervisor of the scholarship of clinical supervisors of the Master’s degree of the Person in Critical Situation of the Superior School of Nursing of the University of Minho. Her areas of interest include Nursing, Mental Health, Critical Care, Oxygen Therapy and Non-Invasive Ventilation, Clinical Supervision, Information Systems and Teletriage. She collaborated as author and co-author in scientific works, has 9 publications in indexed journals, two published book chapters and 23 items of scientific production, including posters, free communications and lectures in scientific activities. In addition, Sílvia Ramos was a collaborating member of the research group Health Sciences Research Unit: Nursing (UISISA: E). She is currently a PhD student in Health and Well-being Sciences and Technologies at the National School of Public Health of the New University of Lisbon.
