Sofia Militar

Sofia Militar is pursuing a Ph.D. in Health Sciences and Well-Being Technologies at the National School of Public Health, the University of Évora, and the NOVA Medical School. She holds a Master's Degree in Nursing with a specialization in community and public health nursing from the Portuguese Catholic University, as well as a postgraduate degree in management and administration of health units from ISLA Santarém. She is a specialist in community health nursing at Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Lisboa and serves as an adjunct lecturer at the ESSCVP.

She is interested in research areas such as community health, community empowerment, care models, nursing education, and clinical teaching. Additionally, she has expertise in animal-assisted therapies.
