On January 26th, the 6th edition of CHRC Talks brought the centre’s researcher and ENSP-NOVA professor, Susana Viegas, to present several projects from ENSP-NOVA and CHRC and European collaborations related to environmental, occupational and health health.
Susana Viegas brought to this edition the presentation of several research projects related to environmental and health determinants, related to the burden of disease, risk assessment, climate change among other areas that are related within the scope of the “One Health” paradigm. One of the main goals is to promote this knowledge through research among those who have the capacity to use this same knowledge to regulate and improve decision-making capacity in the area of Health Policies.
The projects and works presented are linked to several European agencies in the area of chemical and food safety and are collaborating with several OECD working groups, the European Directory of Occupational Health and also with IARC-WHO, an international research agency on cancer from the World Health Organization.
