PhD thesis of researcher Lara Guedes de Pinho awarded in Spain

Lara Guedes de Pinho, Professor at the Department of Nursing and Researcher from Comprehensive Health Research Center, at the University of Évora, was distinguished with the "Special Doctoral Prize" in the area of nursing and health, academic year of 2020/2021, from Universitat Rovira i Virgili (URV), Tarragona, Spain.

This award is given to the best thesis among the candidates who obtained a mention of cum laude and at least had one scientific contribution from their PhD thesis. Lara Guedes de Pinho's thesis is entitled "Efficacy of Metacognitive Training in delusions, hallucinations, cognitive insight and functioning in schizophrenia". It resulted in four scientific articles published in international journals with a high impact factor, after carrying out a randomized controlled trial.

The award ceremony took place on the 23rd of November at the Universitat Rovira i Virgili (URV), with the diploma being given to Laura Guedes de Pinho by the University's DEAN, Josep Pallarè.
