Project ALENMENTE as semifinalist in the Angelini University Award! 2021/2022

The ALENMENTE project in the area of mental health, which includes the participation of CHRC researchers Lara Guedes e Pinho and César Fonseca, is among the 15 semifinalists of the 13th edition of the Angelini University Award! 2021/2022.

The Angelini University Award! is an initiative promoted by Angelini Pharma aimed at university students attending higher education in the area of Health in Portugal, which aims to create opportunities for participants to put their academic knowledge into practice applied to a project close to business and social reality.

The ALENMENTE project was created within the scope of University of Évora with the support of CHRC and focuses on creating strategies that promote mental health among university students. An action was carried out to promote a form on mental health and well-being among students, in order to understand wich impact of experience of Higher Education has on the mental health of students. During that same action, useful contacts opened to psychological support were also made known, such as SEC-Psi, Student Support Office, Saudemental.pt, SNS 24 and SNS Linhas de Crise.

This project has the participation of four students from Graduation Degree in Nursing at the University of Évora, one Master student from Association, Specialization in Mental Health and Psychiatric Nursing and one PhD student in Sciences and Technologies of Health and Well-being. It also counts on the participation and management by CHRC researchers, Lara Guedes de Pinho and César Fonseca, Professors of the Department of Nursing, Escola Superior de Enfermagem S. João de Deus, University of Évora.

The Awards Ceremony will be held on November 30, where the selected groups will present their projects and the finalists and winners of the Angelini University Award! will also be decided. Two groups will receive a monetary prize.
