CHRC Researcher joins Editorial Board of Frontiers in Psychology as Associate Editor

It is with great pleasure that the Comprehensive Health Research Centre (CHRC) announces the appointment of researcher Adelinda Candeias as Associate Editor of the Health Psychology section of the prestigious international scientific journal Frontiers in Psychology (Impact Factor: 2.9 | CiteScore: 6.3 | Q1 – Multidisciplinary Psychology).

Professor at the University of Évora and a researcher of the CHRC – Comprehensive Health Research Centre, Adelinda Candeias thus sees her distinguished academic and scientific career formally recognised. This appointment follows her outstanding performance as a Topic Editor, a role in which she led projects and publications dedicated to psychological well-being, assessment, mental health, and intervention across the lifespan.

The nomination was put forward by the Specialty Chief Editor, Professor Changiz Mohiyeddini, in recognition of Professor Candeias’ scientific leadership, editorial competence, and ethical commitment.

In her new role as Associate Editor, Adelinda Candeias will oversee the peer-review process of scientific articles, contribute to the growth of the editorial team, and further the development of open, rigorous, and high-impact science.

This international recognition not only marks a significant milestone in Adelinda Candeias’s career, but also highlights the value of psychological research carried out in Portugal. It reinforces the University of Évora’s and CHRC’s commitment to scientific excellence, internationalisation, and research applied to psychological health and human development.
