Seminar on Gerontology, Health and Wellbeing

This Seminar is held within the scope of the Postgraduate Course in Gerontology and Health Gerontology supervised by the Department of Medical and Health Sciences of the School of Health and Human Development of the University of Évora and with the support of the Comprehensive Health Research Centre. The Seminar will take place at Colégio Espírito Santo between the 3rd and 4th of May 2024. The Seminar program is provided by renowned experts in the areas of medicine, nursing, nutrition, pharmacology, sociology, psychology, physical exercise, psychomotricity, among others . Activities will include conferences, panels and practical workshops, addressing clinical and social issues, integration of healthcare and rehabilitation of the elderly.

The event is designed as an interdisciplinary discussion forum on the topic. The official language is Portuguese. The Seminar will take place in a hybrid format, with some contributions online and others in person, according to the participants' choice. The publication of the work is planned in the form of a scientific article/chapter in a peer-reviewed journal or book with ISBN.

There will also be sessions dedicated to the presentation of posters and oral communications, providing participants with the opportunity to share and discuss their research and experiences.
