High Burden and High Mortality Diseases

This thematic line was created to deliver a consistent description of the burden, injuries and risk factors of diseases causing premature death, loss of health and disability. It also focuses on delivering screening tools, pharmacological and non-pharmacological treatments to improve patient care and clinical outcomes.

It develops and tests new models of providing care and addressing multimorbid patients’ needs, as well as integrated strategies for optimizing healthy and active ageing and improving societal outcomes.
